Loan Comparison Tool

Compare two or three loan offers side by side — including processing fees — to see which one is actually cheaper overall, not just which has the lower EMI.

Enter a loan amount, rate, and tenure for each loan.

About this calculator

Enter 2 or 3 loan offers side by side — each with its own Loan amount, Annual rate, Processing fee, and Tenure — and the tool works out the real total cost of each, not just the monthly EMI.

Total cost = Principal + Total interest + Processing fee, for each loan. A lower EMI or a lower rate doesn't automatically mean the cheaper loan once fees and tenure are factored in — a shorter tenure raises the EMI but can sharply cut total interest, and a higher processing fee can outweigh a slightly better rate depending on the loan amount. Processing fees are usually a flat amount or a small percentage of the loan, charged once at the start rather than spread across the tenure, so they matter proportionally more on a smaller loan than a larger one.

Example 1 — same loan amount, different fee, rate, and tenure

Loan A: 2,500,000, rate 9.5%, fee 25,000, tenure 20 years

Loan B: 2,500,000, rate 8.9%, fee 40,000, tenure 20 years

Loan C: 2,500,000, rate 9.2%, fee 15,000, tenure 15 years

B22,3332,859,8285,399,828
C25,6552,117,8944,632,894

Loan C has the highest EMI of the three but the lowest total cost, because its shorter tenure sharply cuts total interest — proof that comparing EMI alone can point you toward the more expensive loan. Loan B looks attractive on rate alone, being the lowest of the three, but its higher fee and longer tenure still leave it costing almost a million more than Loan C overall.

Example 2 — different loan amounts, same processing fee, different rate

Loan A: 2,000,000, rate 9.0%, fee 20,000, tenure 15 years

Loan B: 3,000,000, rate 8.5%, fee 20,000, tenure 15 years

Loan C: 2,500,000, rate 9.5%, fee 20,000, tenure 15 years

B29,5422,317,5945,337,594
C26,1062,199,0114,719,011

With the same processing fee across all three, the comparison comes down cleanly to loan amount and rate — useful for seeing exactly how much a lower rate is worth in real terms when you're borrowing a different amount from each lender. Even though Loan B carries the lowest rate of the three, it borrows the most money, so it still ends up the most expensive overall — a reminder that rate alone never tells the full story.

Loan offers rarely differ in just one variable — a lower rate often comes with a higher fee, a shorter tenure raises the EMI while cutting total interest, and a larger loan amount changes everything else in proportion. Reading each offer in isolation makes it easy to be swayed by whichever single number looks best, when the real comparison only makes sense once every variable is considered together.

This tool turns a confusing pile of bank offers into one clear number, so the decision isn't about which number sounds smaller on a brochure, but which loan genuinely costs less by the time it's fully paid off. It's also worth running the numbers on a fourth or fifth offer if you have one, since even small differences in fee or rate can shift which loan actually wins once tenure and amount are both accounted for.
