Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026 | Effective date: October 18, 2026

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to wordxlabs.com ("the Site"), operated by WordX Labs ("we", "us"). It's separate from the privacy practices of our Chrome extensions (WordX — Numbers and Tools, Note1, WordX — Write & Research, Intent Filter, SearchPure, YouTube Intent Highlighter), which are disclosed independently on their Chrome Web Store listings, since they're distinct products with their own data practices.

2. What the Site currently does — and doesn't — collect

The calculators on this Site run entirely in your browser. This includes every calculator listed on the Calculators page, and every individual tool inside Scientific — including Paste and Solve, which checks what you type or paste against Scientific and the other tools automatically, entirely on your device. Whichever calculator or tool you use, your inputs are processed locally. It is never transmitted to us, stored on our servers, or seen by us in any form. We have no database and no server-side logic collecting your calculator inputs or results.

The Site now uses cookies as part of Google AdSense (see Section 5 below), but the calculators themselves remain entirely local — nothing you type into them is ever transmitted to us.

VoiceText works differently from the calculators in one respect: its voice-to-text feature sends your voice audio to the speech-recognition service used by Chrome (see Section 10 for full detail). Everything else about VoiceText — the text it produces, formatting, and downloads — works the same locally-only way as the rest of the Site.

The Site also serves as the informational landing page for our six Chrome extensions (WordX — Numbers and Tools, Note1, WordX — Write & Research, Intent Filter, SearchPure, YouTube Intent Highlighter). Each extension's own data practices are disclosed independently on their Chrome Web Store listings, as noted in Section 1.

Some tools, such as the Budget Estimator, Travel Planner, and Advanced Travel Planner, let you type your own custom category, person, destination, or trip names into an optional text field, and VoiceText lets you type or dictate an entire document. As with every other input on this Site, that text stays in your browser and is never transmitted to us. You are solely responsible for what you type, dictate, or write using any tool on this Site — it is your responsibility to ensure anything you enter is lawful and does not violate any third party's rights.

Several tools on the Site — currently VoiceText, the four Budget Estimator tools (Standard, Student, Co-living, and Yearly), Travel Planner, Advanced Travel Planner, Travel Plan vs Actual, Goal Planning (all three modes), Net Worth Planner, the Rent vs Buy and Advanced Rent vs Buy Calculators, Loan Affordability Estimator, Loan/EMI, Loan Comparison, Loan Refinance and Repayment Planner, Mortgage, Mortgage Payoff and Holiday Planner, FD, Compounder/SIP, Retirement, Debt Payoff, Split Bill, Percentage, and Age and Time Span calculators — offer a Share option. Tapping Share generates your report or document in your browser and hands that file off to an app or service you choose. WordX Labs has no visibility into what you share, who you share it with, or what happens to it afterward, and nothing passes through our servers. Where Share isn't supported, the option isn't shown or falls back to a message pointing you to Download instead, rather than silently doing something else.

The Rent vs Buy and Advanced Rent vs Buy Calculators offer their own Copy, Share, and Print icons. Copy places a plain-text summary of your result on your clipboard. Share uses your device's native share sheet where available, or copies that same plain-text summary to your clipboard directly where it isn't. Print opens your browser's own print dialog. As with every other tool on the Site, none of this passes through our servers or is visible to us.

The Net Worth Planner, the Loan Affordability Estimator and the Goal Planning calculator (in all three modes: Goal Planning, Multi Goal Planning and Staggered Start Goal Planning) offer the same kind of Download, Copy, Share, and Print icons. The download icon saves a full HTML report of your results and the grid icon saves the same figures as a CSV file (for the Net Worth Planner, formatted for your selected country); Copy places a plain-text copy of the report on your clipboard, Share uses your device's native share sheet where available (or falls back to copying), and Print opens your browser's own print dialog. As with every other tool on the Site, none of this passes through our servers or is visible to us, and nothing you enter is saved between visits.

The four Budget Estimator tools (Standard, Student, Co-living, and Yearly), Travel Planner, Advanced Travel Planner, and Travel Plan vs Actual also offer a CSV download and a Print option alongside Download, Copy, and Share. The CSV file is created in your browser from the same figures as the HTML report and saved to your device, and Print opens your browser's own print dialog. Neither passes through our servers or is visible to us.

The Advanced Travel Planner and Travel Plan vs Actual can open a report you downloaded from the Advanced Travel Planner or from Travel Plan vs Actual. When you choose a saved report, your browser reads the file on your own device and rebuilds your trip from it; the file is not uploaded, stored, or visible to us, and only reports created by that tool are accepted. Emergency contacts, traveler needs, and booking numbers are left out of the report and the trip data saved inside it unless you choose to include them, so please decide carefully before you share or print a report that includes them.

Because nothing you enter into the tools is saved on our servers, we have no copy of your work and cannot restore it. Anything you do not download stays only in your browser and is lost when you refresh, leave, or close the page. If you want to keep a plan, a report, or any result, please download it and store the file yourself.

The Loan/EMI, Loan Comparison, Loan Refinance and Repayment Planner, Mortgage, Mortgage Payoff and Holiday Planner, FD, Compounder/SIP, Retirement, Debt Payoff, Split Bill, Percentage, and Age and Time Span calculators offer a row of five icons beside the Calculate button: Download (an HTML report), CSV (the same figures as a spreadsheet file), Copy (a plain-text copy on your clipboard), Share (your device's native share sheet, or a copy to your clipboard where sharing isn't available), and Print (your browser's own print dialog). The reports and files are created in your browser and saved or sent only where you choose; none of this passes through our servers or is visible to us, and nothing you enter is saved between visits.

The Advanced Rent vs Buy Calculator offers an optional "Scenarios" feature that lets you save a named set of inputs (up to 5) so you can come back to it later or compare it with others. Like VoiceText's draft auto-save described below, this is saved only to your own browser's local storage — it is never transmitted to us, never visible to us, and stays on your device until you delete it (using the Delete button next to a saved scenario) or clear your browser's site data. The Basic Rent vs Buy Calculator does not save anything between visits.

3. Hosting and infrastructure logs

The Site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like virtually all web infrastructure, Cloudflare's network automatically logs standard technical information for any request — such as IP address, browser type, and timestamp — for the purposes of serving the Site reliably and securely (for example, mitigating abuse or diagnosing outages). This is routine server operation, not a feature we've built, and we don't have access to use this data for tracking or profiling visitors. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

The Site also loads fonts from Google Fonts. As with any web request, this sends your IP address to Google as part of loading the font files — a standard, routine part of how font delivery works, not something we collect or have access to ourselves.

4. Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic on the Site — for example, how many people visit, which pages are popular, and which countries visitors come from. Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to operate without cookies and without cross-site tracking. The analytics information we receive is used for aggregate measurement rather than to create user profiles. See Cloudflare Web Analytics for more on how it works, and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy (linked in Section 3) for their broader data practices.

5. Google AdSense and advertising cookies

This Site displays advertising through Google AdSense to support free access to the calculators and tools. As a result:

You can find Google's own explanation of how data is used in advertising at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

6. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We also do not knowingly allow personalized advertising to be shown to children under 13, in line with Google AdSense's own policies on this.

7. Your rights

Because the Site's calculators themselves process everything locally in your browser and never transmit or store your inputs, the personal data we are involved in relates primarily to advertising cookies described above. To exercise rights over that data — such as objecting to personalized advertising, opting out of the sale or sharing of your information, or requesting more information about what's collected — use the tools linked in Section 5, which are operated directly by Google, or contact us using the details in Section 11.

VoiceText is the one exception to the local-only picture above: when you use its voice-to-text feature, your voice audio is sent to the speech-recognition service used by Chrome, operated by Google, for processing. We do not receive or store that audio ourselves. To exercise any rights over how Google processes that audio, use Google's own privacy tools and Google's Privacy Policy directly, since that processing happens on Google's systems, not ours.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law, including but not limited to:

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site changes — for example, if analytics is added, or if advertising practices change. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.

9. Disclaimer and no indemnity

The calculators on this Site are provided for general informational purposes only, "as is," with no guarantee of accuracy, and are not a substitute for professional financial, tax, or legal advice. We do not indemnify, defend, or hold harmless any user against any loss, damage, or claim arising from use of the Site or reliance on any calculation it produces. Full disclaimer, limitation of liability, and indemnification terms are set out in our Terms of Use, which govern your use of the Site alongside this policy.

The Goal Achievement Estimator inside the Goal Planning calculators is not a loan provider or a loan-recommendation tool; it only estimates from the figures you enter, and the same "as is" and no-liability position applies to it. The income, expense and rate figures you type into it are used in your browser to produce the result and are not sent to us.

The same "as is" basis and no-indemnity position applies to VoiceText, including any transcription error or issue arising from the speech-recognition service used by Chrome; see our Terms of Use for VoiceText's specific terms.

In short: every calculator on this Site is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Results are hypothetical estimates based on your inputs and do not guarantee future performance. Consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions; we accept no liability for losses arising from use of any calculator on this Site.

10. VoiceText

VoiceText is a browser-based voice-to-text and writing tool. You can dictate or type, format what you write, and download it — no account, no sign-up, and nothing saved on our servers.

How the voice-to-text feature works. VoiceText uses Google Chrome's speech-recognition functionality to turn your spoken words into text. When you tap the mic, Chrome sends your voice audio to the speech-recognition service used by Chrome, which converts it to text and sends that text back to your browser. We do not operate this speech-recognition service, and your voice audio is never sent to or stored on WordX Labs' own servers — VoiceText only receives the text Chrome sends back after processing. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this processing. VoiceText's built-in voice-to-text feature is currently available only in supported versions of Google Chrome on supported desktop and Android devices. It is not available in Safari, Firefox, or on iPhone and iPad. Typing and the other VoiceText functions remain available where supported.

What we store — and don't. Text you type into or receive from VoiceText remains in your browser and is not uploaded to WordX Labs' servers. Voice audio used for VoiceText's speech-recognition function is handled separately, as described above. We have no database and no server-side logic collecting what you write. To protect against losing unsaved work, VoiceText automatically saves your current document to your browser's own local storage at regular intervals. This saved copy never leaves your device and is never sent to us, is not accessible to us in any form, is automatically cleared the moment you successfully download your document, and is offered back to you if you reopen VoiceText after closing the tab or a browser crash, before you had a chance to download. Anything you paste into VoiceText is inserted as plain text only — any formatting, links, or other content from what you copied is discarded before it enters your document.

Downloading your document. VoiceText lets you download your document as an HTML file, which preserves your formatting — including bold, italic, underline, and any text or highlight colors you've applied — exactly as written. This file is generated entirely in your browser and saved directly to your own device; it does not pass through our servers.

Sharing your document. VoiceText lets you share your document directly. Tapping Share generates your document in your browser and hands it off to an app or service you choose; WordX Labs has no visibility into what you share, who you share it with, or what happens to it afterward. This works entirely on your own device — nothing passes through our servers.

Starting a new document. If you choose to start a new document while your current one hasn't been downloaded yet, VoiceText will warn you first: since nothing is saved anywhere permanent except your own device's temporary local backup, starting a new document at that point will permanently delete what you've written. You can download your current document first if you want to keep it, or continue and start fresh — the choice is yours.

Fonts. VoiceText uses Playfair Display for the document text you write, and Inter for the toolbar and interface. Both are Google Fonts licensed under the SIL Open Font License, free for commercial use, with no attribution required for on-page display. As with any font loaded from Google Fonts, this sends your IP address to Google as a routine part of the request (see Section 3).

Advertising. This page displays advertising through Google AdSense, on the same basis as the rest of the Site — see Section 5 above for the full detail. In short: Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads; visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland see a consent prompt before any personalized advertising cookies are set; and visitors in US states with applicable privacy laws (including California) can use a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" opt-out link.

Cookies and log files. VoiceText itself sets no cookies of its own. The AdSense cookies described in Section 5 apply here too. Like every page on the Site, requests to this page pass through Cloudflare, our hosting provider, which automatically logs standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamp) as routine infrastructure operation — not a feature we've built, and not something we use for tracking or profiling.
