See exactly how your money compounds each year — as a one-time lumpsum, a monthly SIP, or a yearly recurring contribution.
This tool works out how a sum of money grows over time using compound interest — enter what you're starting with or adding regularly, the expected annual return, and how long you're investing for, and it shows you exactly what that grows into, year by year. It covers three different ways people typically invest: a one-time lump sum, a fixed amount every month, or a fixed amount added once a year.
A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) means investing a fixed amount every month, rather than one large amount all at once — a common way to invest in mutual funds. This calculator's Monthly SIP mode is built specifically for that: it simulates your investment month by month, so the numbers you see match exactly how a real SIP grows.
Enter a Principal (the amount you're investing once, upfront), an Annual rate, and the number of Years, then choose how often interest compounds — Yearly, Half-yearly, Quarterly (the default), or Monthly. More frequent compounding means slightly faster growth, since interest starts earning its own interest sooner.
Enter your Monthly investment, the Expected annual return, and the number of Years. Each month's contribution starts earning returns from the following month onward, exactly how a real SIP behaves.
For anyone investing a lump sum once a year instead of monthly — enter an optional Initial amount (0 if starting fresh), the Amount added every year, an Annual rate, and the Years, plus an optional partial year in extra months. Growth is calculated first each year, then that year's contribution is added on top.
