Features

Live Dictation & Browsing (Voice to Text)

Browse the web and create notes at the same time. Speak naturally and watch your words appear live in VT Notes in your Note1 side panel, while you browse, edit, and move the cursor anywhere in your note. Punctuation is typed from your keyboard.

Live Dictation & Browsing (Voice/Audio Mode)

Browse the web and dictate by voice at the same time: speak your thoughts into a voice note in your Note1 side panel while you click, scroll, and move between pages. Your dictation is saved as audio, so you can add a title, search for it later, and play it back or download it. Recording stops if you close the side panel.

Voice to Text (VT Notes)

Live dictation, right in the side panel — speak and watch your words appear as text in real time. Voice typing works in multiple languages. Nothing is recorded or stored as audio, only the text you dictate.

  1. Open the VT Notes tab and tap the mic button to start — the first time, Chrome will ask for microphone access; grant it once and Note1 remembers your choice.
  2. Speak naturally and your words appear live as you talk. Tap the mic again to stop at any point.
  3. Type into the editor whenever you want — before, during, or after dictating. Backspace/Delete works normally, so you can fix a misheard word by hand without losing your place; voice and typing both write into the same note at the live cursor position.
  4. Press Shift + Enter to add a line break without saving, so longer dictated notes can be structured into paragraphs.
  5. Pick a language from the dropdown before you start — 21+ languages and regional accents are supported (English US/UK/India/Australia/Canada and more, plus Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, Mandarin, Japanese, and others). One language per note; to switch, stop, change it, and start again.
  6. Add an optional title (typed or dictated), then Save to your VT Notes list, or Discard.

Search from the header box looks inside VT Notes too — English notes are searched by their full dictated text, non-English notes by title — with matches appearing in the same results list as your text, voice, and video notes.

Voice Notes

Record your voice, then decide whether to keep it — nothing saves automatically.

  1. Switch to the Voice tab and press the mic button to start recording.
  2. Press it again to stop. You land on a review screen before anything is saved — this is the preview option: play back exactly what you recorded, see the waveform and the duration.
  3. Optionally add a short title (up to 40 characters).
  4. Press Save to keep it, or Discard to throw it away and record again. Nothing is written to your saved notes until you press Save.

Video Notes

Same review-before-save flow as Voice Notes, with a camera preview.

  1. Switch to the Video tab and press record — you'll see a live camera preview while it's recording.
  2. Stop recording to reach the same preview screen: watch the clip back in full before deciding, check its duration, add an optional title.
  3. Save to keep it, or Discard to re-record. Same rule as Voice Notes — nothing is saved until you confirm on the preview screen.

Text Notes

Quick typed notes, saved instantly, shareable individually or all at once.

  1. Type into the note box at the top of the side panel and press Enter (or the send action) to save it.
  2. Each note card has its own menu — from there you can copy it, pin it, highlight it, delete it, or share it.
  3. Sharing sends the note out to WhatsApp, Gmail, or X, with its timestamp and formatting preserved exactly as written.
  4. Share All (in the header) does the same for every note at once, rather than one at a time.

Word Pad

A focused writing surface, separate from the notes list, for longer writing.

  1. Open Word Pad from its own toolbar icon — it expands into a full writing area.
  2. Formatting is available from the toolbar above the text — bold/italic, and 4 font sizes to choose from (S, M, L, XL).
  3. Use the print option to print your note or save it as a PDF and share it, or download it as an HTML file, from the Word Pad menu.
